Growing up, my biological father wasn’t around much, but a wonderful man stepped in and chose to be my dad. In our blended family, he made sure I never felt like the odd one out.

He let me know I was one of his children, no different from the rest.

He taught me how to ride a bike.

Cheered at my games.

Helped with my homework.

He was there for every milestone, every tear, every laugh.

He became my hero, my rock.

Being a Dad is more than just DNA.

It’s about showing up.

It’s about love and support, patience and guidance.

It’s about making every child feel special and loved.

Though he’s no longer with us, his love and lessons remain.

I miss him every day, but I’m forever grateful for the time we had.

His love made our family whole.

His kindness lives on through all his children.

Today is Father’s Day in the UK, so let’s celebrate all the amazing men who step up, who show up, and who choose to be dads.

Thank you for everything.

You make the world a better place 🫢🏻
